Environment

Creating a Greener, Healthier Future

Because the planet we protect today is the world our children will inherit tomorrow — every action counts, every tree matters.

WHY ENVIRONMENT ?

India is facing an environmental emergency that is already affecting the lives of its most vulnerable communities. Rising temperatures, extreme weather events, shrinking green cover and mounting waste are not distant threats — they are daily realities for the families we work with.

Urban poor communities are hit hardest. They live closest to garbage dumps, construction sites and industrial zones. Their children breathe the most polluted air. Their streets flood first. Their health suffers most from contaminated water and uncollected waste.

Yet they are the least heard in conversations about climate change, environmental policy and sustainable development.

“Only 12%” Of India’s total land area is under tree cover — against a global average of 31% (Source: FSI India State of Forest Report)

“77 Million” People in India lack access to clean drinking water — largely due to water body pollution and groundwater depletion (Source: WaterAid India)

“Delhi” Ranked among the world’s most polluted cities — with PM2.5 levels regularlyexceeding safe limits by 10x or more (Source: IQAir World Air Quality Report)

WHAT WE DO ?

Six environment actions — each designed to protect, restore and build awareness about the natural world around us.

Environment Programs

Environment & Sustainability Initiatives

🌳
Tree Plantation Drives
We organise plantation drives in neighbourhoods, schools and public spaces — using native species suited to Delhi’s climate for maximum survival and impact.
Serves: Communities | Schools | Youth | Volunteers
🧹
Clean-Up Campaigns
We mobilise volunteers for clean-up drives targeting parks, drains, roadsides and community spaces where waste accumulates most.
Serves: Residents | Youth | Volunteers
🌍
Climate Change Awareness
We conduct workshops in schools and communities — making climate science simple, relevant and actionable for young people and families.
Serves: Students | Youth | Teachers | Parents
♻️
Waste Segregation & Management
We educate communities on separating wet, dry and hazardous waste — promoting better health and environmental protection.
Serves: Households | Schools | RWAs
💧
Water Body Conservation
We engage communities in restoring ponds, drains and water channels through clean-up, awareness and local advocacy.
Serves: Communities | Residents | Youth
🏫
Environment Action Clubs
We establish school and college clubs — empowering young leaders to drive environmental change through student-led initiatives.
Serves: Students | Colleges | Teachers

HOW WE DO ?

A community-first approach — from identifying the right location and issue to measuring the long-term impact of every action taken.

Step 1 of 7
Phase 1 — Identify
STEP 01
Area assessment
We identify the location, environmental issue and most urgent action needed — whether it is tree loss, waste accumulation, a polluted water body or climate awareness gaps in a specific community.
What we look at
Green cover, waste spots, drainage, air quality, community awareness levels
Tools used
Ground visits, community interviews, satellite imagery, municipal data
Phase 1 — Identify
STEP 02
Community mobilisation
We engage local residents, schools, RWAs and volunteers to build a committed action group. Community ownership is what makes environment work last beyond a single drive.
Who we engage
Residents, school students, teachers, RWA members, local volunteers
How we reach them
Door-to-door outreach, school visits, WhatsApp groups, community notice boards
Phase 2 — Prepare
STEP 03
Planning & preparation
We plan the full activity — materials, dates, volunteer roles, safety requirements and permissions from local authorities. A well-planned drive is a successful drive.
Materials
Saplings, tools, gloves, bags, awareness materials
Permissions
MCD, forest dept, school principal, RWA approval
Safety
First aid, sun protection, child supervision plan
Phase 3 — Deliver
STEP 04
Action day & execution
The plantation drive, clean-up campaign, waste awareness session or water body conservation event is executed on ground — with community, volunteers and our core team working together.
Types of action days we run
Tree plantation Clean-up drive Climate workshop Waste segregation Water conservation Env. Action Club
Phase 3 — Deliver
STEP 05
Documentation & awareness
We document every activity with before-and-after photographs, participant count and outcomes — then share on social media, with local press and in our monthly Environment Action Report.
What we capture
Before-after photos, video clips, participant quotes, volunteer count, trees planted / waste collected
Where we share
Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, local newspaper, donor reports, website
Phase 4 — Measure
STEP 06
Impact measurement
Trees counted, waste weighed, participants recorded and outcomes reported transparently. Our environment impact data is updated after every drive and published in quarterly reports.

Phase 4 — Sustain
STEP 07
Follow-up & maintenance
We revisit planted sites, check tree survival rates, do follow-up clean-ups and sustain the action — because planting once is not enough. Maintenance is what makes environment work real.
Revisit schedule
1 month, 3 months and 6 months after every plantation drive — tree survival tracked and recorded
Why this matters
6-month tree survival rate is our most credible impact metric — rare among NGOs, powerful with donors

🏛️
Municipal Collaboration
We coordinate with municipal bodies for waste management, permissions for clean-up drives and tree plantation on public land.
🏫
School Partnerships
Partnerships with schools for Environment Action Clubs, plantation drives and climate education support.

Our CSR Partners

Environment is one of the most active CSR focus areas in India. Partner with us to deliver measurable, documented and community-rooted green impact.

Measurable Green Impact

Every tree we plant is geo-tagged and tracked for 6-month survival. Every drive is documented with weight of waste collected and before-after photos. Your CSR contribution has a visible outcome.

Employee Green Volunteering

Bring your team to a plantation drive or clean-up campaign. We organise, manage and document the full event — you get a powerful team CSR experience and documented impact report.

Green Schools Programme

Fund an Environment Action Club in a government school — training young environmental leaders who carry the message home, to their communities and forward in life.

STORIES OF CHANGE

Every tree standing is a story. Every clean street is a story. Every child who picks up a piece of litter instead of ignoring it — that is our success.
